Blends well with: Bergamot, frankincense, helichrysum, jasmine, lavender, lime, mandarin, neroli, palo santo, rose, rosemary ct. verbenone, sandalwood, sweet orange

Precautions: Make sure to use in proper dilution, blended well, as skin irritations can result from contact of the undiluted essential oil with sensitive skin. As noted earlier, rose geranium is generally sedative, but for some it can be rejuvenating, so find out how it works best for you. Tisserand and Young suggest maximum dermal use at 17.5% (but due to fragrance intensity, you’ll likely use much less).

Jasmine

Softening—Seducing—Enamoring

Common names: Jasmine; “moonlight of the grove” (Hindu); “queen of the night” (India)

Latin names: Jasminum samba (night-blooming); Jasminum grandiflorum (dawn-blooming)

Botanical family: Oleaceae, a family of climbers, shrubs, trees, and vines. Jasminum falls into its woody climber category. One familiar cousin is olive (often used as a base for herbal infused oils).

Attributes: Warms the senses, seduces the mind and the body, and aligns the emotions.
